Why didn’t everyone like Windows Vista?

Hi all! For all the time I have been using computers, I have never been able to get acquainted with Windows Vista . As a child, my home PC had Windows XP, which had to be reinstalled every year, since the system began to freeze and the only solution that came to mind at that time was reinstallation. This was the process of my acquaintance with the world of computer technology, and then I enjoyed it. And it helped, the computer began to work faster, and I carried out all the reinstallations myself. Then there was another home system system, but on Windows 7, and for some reason Vista passed me by.

How many different comments have I come across about Windows Vista, 90% of them are only negative. Everyone is not happy with this system; they idolize Windows XP and 7. Is it deserved or not? For example, when I was studying at the academy, my coursemate had a laptop with Vista pre-installed. He used it for 4 years while he was studying and was happy with it. This is the only person I met during the campaign who had a positive attitude towards this operating system.

The other day, I came across a laptop with Vista installed , so I got to know it a little, even in 2020. I didn’t notice anything “criminal”; a normal operating system, even at first glance, is more interesting than XP. Works quickly, bright and colorful. The interface is clear. I can’t say anything about the problems with drivers that everyone writes about, since I reinstalled the system on this laptop on Windows 7, which is certainly better than XP or Vista. And by some chance, after reinstalling 7, problems began with finding sound drivers.

Maybe users were simply not ready for the release, at that time, of the new Windows Vista operating system with a different interface, very different from previous versions. A similar fate befell Windows 8, which was met so negatively, again, mainly because of the interface. Of course the start menu was terrible, but that could be changed. I don’t remember exactly with the release of 8.1 these icons were removed or it was necessary to install additional software for a more familiar look of the Start menu. In general, Windows 8.1 is a stable system that does not consume most of the performance of your computer. There are no problems with installing drivers either. I think Windows 10 is less stable at this point in time, with strange updates that result in a “blue screen of death.”

Write in the comments how you feel about Windows Vista now? I would be grateful for “like” the article and subscribe to the channel so as not to miss new publications.
