I fill up the car like a baron, I only need a phone

If you drive a car, get used to constantly paying for gas. I go to gas stations twice a week, according to my work schedule. Previously I had to travel more, now I have to travel a little less. In winter, consumption is, by definition, higher. Constant warming up of the car and slow driving speeds make themselves felt in terms of gasoline consumption by the car.

I don’t fill up until the tank is full, but it costs 1000 rubles per fill-up. I want to tell you some useful tips that I currently use.

Firstly, I pay only by bank transfer, no cash. From 1000 rubles I get 10% back in the form of “thank you” bonuses from Sberbank, whose card I use. Other banks have their own systems of bonuses and “cashback”, I am satisfied with my option, although they are not returned in real rubles. There are plenty of places to spend “thank you” bonuses, there are no problems with that. Agree, it’s nice to receive 100 bonuses, like 100 rubles, from every car refueling.

Secondly, when I arrive at a gas station, I don’t get out of the car. All my actions consist of opening the gas tank flap and pulling the lever inside the car. Open the window slightly and tell the employee who fills gasoline at the pump what type of gasoline I should fill.

Thirdly, you don’t need to go to the cashier. I pay through the Yandex navigator application. You need to turn on the navigator, link your bank card and drive to a gas station that is connected to the payment system through the application. You select the pump number, type of fuel and the amount you want to fill up with.

Everything is very simple and convenient. It is possible to leave a tip, also through the application. It is at your discretion, or get out of the car and hand over some amount. When I give a “tip” to the gas station attendant, it is the amount of 10 rubles, one coin. I don’t know how much it is customary to give a “tip,” but I think a coin of 10 rubles is the optimal solution.

Now I try to go to the same gas station, significantly reduce my time and do not make unnecessary movements. If there are such opportunities, why not use them. The downside is that not all gas stations are connected to this system; you have to select specific ones. This information is available in the navigator application, so there will be no problems in searching.
